Castel del Monte Bombino Bianco Panascio 2015 – 87 points
The 2015 Castel del Monte Bombino Bianco Giancarlo Ceci Panascio offers a crisp and zesty personality that really hits the spot on a warm summer evening. This expression of the promising Bombino Bianco variety presents a streamlined style with moderate intensity and light touches of citrus, peach and dried herb. This wine should be consumed within the next 18 months. This wine represents excellent value for your money.” – Monica Larner

Castel del Monte Almagia 2015 – 85 points
“Made with biodynamic and organic fruit, the 2015 Castel del Monte Giancarlo Ceci Almagia is a 60/40 blend of Nero di Troia and Montepulciano. The wine sees no added sulfites and is certified vegan as well. So there you have it. The bouquet is a bit disjointed with tones of red berry and black olive that make for sudden contrasts. I also tasted lots of beetroot. The finish is lean and crisp with a point of sourness on the close.” – Monica Larner

Castel del Monte Nero di Troia Parco Marano – 85 points
“The barrique-aged 2014 Castel del Monte Nero di Troia Giancarlo Ceci Parco Marano is a difficult wine to wrap your taste buds around. There are pungent notes of pickled fruit with black olive and wild fennel. I didn’t get a clear view of the primary fruit, but I did taste earthy notes of beetroot and button mushroom.” – Monica Larner
